International Conference: Transnationalisation and Knowledge

We are pleased to announce the international conference on “Transnationalisation and Knowledge - The Ubiquity of Translation and the Crisis it Faces”, which will take place at the University of Trier (Germany) from October 12-14, 2017.

The conference is organized by the Research Network “Trans|Knowledge: Translation of Knowledge in the context of Transnationalisation”, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), in collaboration with the Research Center for Transnational Social Support (TRANSSOS) and the International Research Training Group “Diversity”. This transdisciplinary conference aims to gain a better understanding of the transformation and reproduction of knowledge in transnational contexts.


Keynote speakers are Martin Albrow (Sociology), Adrienne Chambon (Social Work), Ursula Lehmkuhl (History) und Thomas Popkewitz (Education).
