Mapping Transnationalism Reports

The section Mapping Transnationalism of TSR seeks to explore the various facets of transnational phenomena around the world. Mapping Transnationalism offers the opportunity to report on developments, experiences, explorations, and observations from a transnational world. Reaching out to diverse authors and readers across borders is, therefore, a critical task for this open access part of TSR. Access to scholarly knowledge and information is still a privilege in many parts of the world, and the spread of communication technologies faces multiple socioeconomic and political barriers. Nevertheless, we strive to fulfill our responsibility to be accessible, both for readers and authors around the globe and for different cultures of knowledge.

In order to engage with actors from various parts of the world and to increase the representation of transnational knowledge, we invite researchers, policy makers, practitioners, and doctoral students to contribute with short reports (up to 1500 words) to this section of the journal to discuss recent developments of transnational phenomena and of transnational studies. We welcome a variety of formats, including:

  • RESEARCH REPORTS
  • PRACTICES REPORTS
  • POLICY REPORTS
  • CONFERENCE REPORTS
  • INTERVIEWS
  • PORTRAITS
  • OPINION PIECES
