Research

TRANSSOS conducts innovative research on the complexities of transnational social work needs and transnational social support practices. It focuses on micro practices, which are realized in everyday life as well as on those which are framed and organized by transnational organizations.

Transnational social support needs, forms and processes are also analyzed with regard to their significance and its implications for – mainly nationally framed – social, family and education policies.

The members of TRANSSOS also work on methodological questions of transnational research by reflecting and initiating innovative methods of research.

International research cooperation is of special interest.
